For once in my life I am happy with taking the approach of not trying to do everything on the first day. Why? The main reason is because it is 35 degrees celsius today and after half an hour on the rock climbing wall I was drenched in sweat. If we had taken on an excursion today I don’t think we would have energy by the second half of the cruise, as after today we have 3 days of activities off the boat.

As mentioned in my last post, the Internet on the boat is very expensive, even for South Africans (it works out to over R5 per minute). But as luck would have it, the port that we have docked at has free wifi in the terminal, but at is about all that they have here! So my need to be connected is being dealt with for an hour while Kerith has some down time from me and the sun

Tonight will be our second supper in the main dining galley, and I am sure that the food will be as good as it was and by the end of this cruise we are sure to be rolling off this ship. Luckily for me there is a gym on board (hey, relaxing for me involves having a good workout as well) and we have 3 days of activities ahead of us.

Tomorrow the real fun begins, so hopefully tomorrow’s post will include some exotic photographs.
